I just love when there is so obvioiusly a miracle from God, that just cannot be attributed to other factors. Here's the story.....at the end of August, we converted from oil to gas heat. It was expensive but we thought that in the long run it would be better.
I was called to work today a 12 hour shift hospice case in Aberdeen. When I got there I found that the patient had died during the night and nobody from my agency had called to let me know. I was, understandably, not pleased. Until.....I got home and my agency called to tell me that my patient had died, however there was a case in Highlands that I could have. She told me she would call me when she got into work and give me the details. So I went upstairs to lay down and rest for a few minutes. The carbon monoxide alarm started beeping. I ran downstairs and called the fire department. The police were here in seconds followed by the HFD and rescue squad. I'm sitting in the car now, writing about this miracle. There are police cars and fire trucks, the gas truck, ambulance, private vehicles.... We have a CO leak upstairs near the bedroom somewhere, where I was laying down, about to take a nap. Granted I would have been leaving to go to work, but tonight we would have been asleep with CO leaking all around. I would have been meeting Jesus sooner than I had expected. That in itself is not such a bad deal :-) but Paul is certainly not ready to meet Jesus.
Anyway I just wanted to know that there is a hedge of protection around me. And I believe there is one around you too. Until the appointed time, not one hair on our heads will be harmed. That's a pretty cool promise.
